Sweet Crumb Bakery was born in a tiny East Austin kitchen when founder Maria Reyes started selling sourdough loaves at the local farmers market. What began as a weekend hobby turned into a full-time obsession — and eventually, a beloved neighborhood bakery on South Congress Avenue.
Today our team of eight bakers arrives before sunrise to hand-shape croissants, proof our signature sourdoughs, and decorate custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, and everything in between.
We believe the best baked goods take time. That's why our sourdoughs ferment overnight, our croissants get three days of lamination, and our cakes are always made to order — never from a mix.
Every recipe we use has been tested, tasted, and refined until it's exactly right. We're obsessive about texture, flavor, and that moment when something fresh from the oven just makes your whole day better.
